When I saw Bella Hadid go honey blonde at the Cannes Film Festival, I knew it would be a defining hair trend for summer 2026. If Bella’s trading in her signature brunette, then you know there’s a shift on the horizon this season and as a fellow brunette, it’s even making me consider a change. This is a warm, rich blonde with glossy honey tones. It’s a great shade to go for if you want to dabble in blonde hair colour but don’t want to go too bright. If you’re a blonde currently, try honey-toned low-lights or balayage to weave a darker blonde into your hair, or, if you’re a lighter brunette, go for golden hair glosses to add a touch of gold to your lengths.

If you’re blonde right now, this colour-depositing mask is a great way to test out a honey hair colour at home. Just leave in for 10 minutes and rinse out—easy!

2. Limoncello Blonde

“Platinum blonde is getting a summer 2026 glow-up in the form of platinum lemon tones,” says Billi Currie hairstylist and hair trend forecaster Tom Smith. Platinum blonde may be considered a “dated” hair colour trend, but with a splash of limoncello it is new for 2026. “This hair colour is bright and gleaming with a lemon sorbet tone, it is perfect for summer and for those that can never feel blonde enough,” says Smith. “It is better for those naturally on the lighter hair side unless a more edgy look is desired, roots will grow in strongly and so darker bases can be high maintenance or wear roots to make a statement,” he says. It’s something to consider if you’re wanting a more low-maintenance hair colour.
